Junior Golf Majors for Zoë in the Upcoming 2018 Season
- 2018 SDJGA Player of the Year – 8 tournament series
- 2018 US Kids Regional Desert Shootout
- 2018 US Kids California State Championship
- 2018 IMG Junior Worlds
- 2018 US Kids World Championship
In 2018, we are going to work on bringing Zoë’s handicap down into the teens. We also are trying to get down to an average of 59 strokes at Sycuan Pine Glen by July. Our longer-term plan is to keep moving up on Junior Golf Scoreboard. Lastly, we need to increase overall athleticism and of course continue our math program.
Lessons Learned – 2017 US Kids World Golf Championship
You can’t really control an outcome in any given tournament. Zoë was excited about having been #2 in the world in the 2016 IMG World Golf Championship. However, it seems unreasonable to live and die on the outcome of any single tournament. Our solution has been to focus more on multi-day 5000+ yard tournaments that will decrease her handicap and help her move up in the JGS rankings.
Having talent is one thing, but you have to do the work…
